Cleanup team discovered a DSA inside a cabin about 50 miles south of Albuquerque. Digital Simulation Archive recording revealed young Jarod crouched in the corner of a plexi-glass box. DSA further showed Jarod sweating profusely from heat lamps over the glass cage. The young Jarod stated, "I can do it. I just want to know who I am. I can stand anything for that." Sydney pointed out that Jarod was reaching out to the Centre by leaving the DSA. The simulation in question was a psychological study to determine if the mind could enable the body to exceed its normal capabilities when an emotional stimulus was applied. Later, Jarod sent Miss Parker a special red notebook as a birthday gift, labeled "Miss Parker Edition." According to Miss Parker's report, the notebook contained a few trivial items such as a photograph and a pressed flower. Reacting to a possible clue within the photo, Miss Parker left for Vermont to further her investigations. No follow-up report received from Miss Parker as yet. Unconfirmed reports revealed that the Miss Parker red notebook contained a Polaroid of an unidentified gray-haired man, around 60 years old, with a goatee standing near a pickup truck. Centre travel logs indicated Miss Parker made an unscheduled trip to Vermont. Surveillance photos indicated Miss Parker met with Benjamin Thomas Miller in Lake Catherine, Vermont.
Jarod's notebook discovered at latest location revealed a picture of a man named Tom Miles with his wife Angela standing in front of a hangar. Clippings read: "Former Skydiving Champion Dies in Desert." Red notebook also included recipe for meatloaf. Significance undetermined. Reconstructed scenario revealed Jarod infiltrated a skydiving school in the Texas desert to uncover the truth behind a survivalist's mysterious death during a desert hike. Jarod figured out that Carol Bates, the flight school co-owner, had poisoned Tom Miles' canteen with the hallucinogen belladonna. Tom drank the poisoned water which caused him to hallucinate and then die of dehydration. Carol Bates wanted Tom dead so that she would not need his approval to sell the school. Jarod discovered the cover-up and enacted revenge for the man's death.
